Mediation is a process to facilitate dispute resolution within or prior to a trial or arbitration. Mediation will take place with a preliminary meeting or phone call to each individual party to become familiar of the nature of the case. Afterward, the parties meet for a joint session to help come to an agreement. If no agreements are made, in many instances, another private session will then take place with each party, followed by the mediator's evaluation.
